Because denim jackets aren't exactly a new concept, it's your duty (as a style star) to freshen up the way you wear them. 

There really isn't any wardrobe staple that compares, in terms of its ability to be worn in every type of weather. Throw a turtleneck sweater on underneath your jacket for added warmth in the fall/winter, and in the spring/summer months, well, keep reading.

Draping a denim jacket over your shoulders is a typical model off-duty move (if you need a visual, see Gigi Hadid). It's a great trick to remember when you're dealing with hotter temperatures than you're used to—because overheating isn't chic. For an added style boost, roll up the sleeves on your jacket and let those puppies hang. That looks especially cool when you've tied your jacket around your waist.

Denim should never be boring. If you're bored with having to styling it different ways, take a page from Dakota Johnson's book and get patchy. You don't really have to do anything other than wear it when it's as cool and embroidered as hers.

Sure, at first you're thinking Emma Roberts looks crazy-conservative with her jacket buttoned all the way to the top, but what you're missing is...the whole point. Keeping it buttoned is actually quite edgy (say hello to your new-found cool factor).
