The NCIS team might be down one after next week (Missing you already, Michael Weatherly!), but the show is bringing in two new characters on Tuesday to help with a worldwide investigation—and they could wind up sticking around even longer than these last two episodes of season 13.

After an escaped British spy has left one colleague fighting for their life in the ICU, the team joins up with the FBI and MI6 in the worldwide manhunt for the criminal in "Dead Letter," airing Tuesday, May 10. In these first photos of the episode, you can see the newest characters in action.

Sarah Clarke guest stars as FBI Special Agent Tess Monroe and Duane Henry plays MI6 Officer Clayton Reeves as the international investigation expands. And while the two actors are set to appear in these last two episodes of the season for now, they both have a chance to join the team full time as series regulars in season 14, following Weatherly's departure from the series.

"I'm really thrilled with the introduction of these people and we'll have to see where it develops and where it goes," NCIS showrunner Gary Glasberg tells E! News of the new additions. 'So far it's been great."

Tess Monroe is a sarcastic, determined divorcee with no kids, which means she thinks of her team as her family. She's "quick-witted, tough and shrewd," and although she's no-nonsense on the outside, she has a big heart underneath. She believes in honor, justice, and doing the right thing, and will fight to protect those values.

Clayton Reeves hails from a British blue-collar background, is offbeat, fun and has a sense of humor and "swagger to spare." Although he's burned bridges in the international intelligence community, he owns his choices and also wants to do what's right.

NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS. Clarke and Henry debut on May 10.
