Kendra Wilkinson-Baskett's story is far from over.
As the Kendra On Top star continues to document her life for fans on reality TV, there is one philosophy she is trying to keep in mind. It's always important to stay strong.
"It's been a rough couple of months," Kendra shared with E! News exclusively on the set of her music video for "Lost in Space." "You have to stand up. You have to know who you are, believe in you, believe in what you are doing and never let anyone take your happiness from you. Always stand your ground. I am happy. This is what makes me happy. I'm doing the right thing in my life."
That's not to say the reality star has been perfect. As she continues to document her rough relationship with her mother while grieving the loss of her grandmother, Hank Baskett's wife knows that some days are easier than others.
"It makes me want to just cave in and hide but I can't because I have a family and I have friends who need me, who love me and I have to stand strong and stand my ground," she explained to E! News' Will Marfuggi. "What I wish for is my mom to get her peace in her life and leave me alone. My grandma passing away, that's part of my story as much as it is her's."
Kendra continued, "I have a right to share that as much as she has a right to share it however way she wants it. This is my story. She was a part of it. Unfortunately, she didn't like it and she left but I still continue my story whether she likes it or not and I have every right to."
A new chapter in Kendra's dramatic story includes her upcoming music video for her single "Lost in Space." While the author tried to stay in shape before the shoot with daily walks or jogs, there was a brief period where she may have fallen off the wagon.
"So last weekend, I went camping with my family and what do you think we ate? I mean, come on. We BBQed, drank beer every minute and then the weekend ended and I was like, oh my god! I have to be in skimpy clothes for a music video," she explained. "What did I just do? So I was in a panic all day yesterday."
Based on the sneak preview on Instagram, it's safe to say someone made it work! Kendra On Top airs Friday nights at 9 p.m. only on WEtv.
