It was a good night for Good Morning America's Ginger Zee on Monday.
The morning show personality earned the first perfect score on Dancing With the Stars this season with her partner Val Chmerkovskiy, delivering an "impeccable," waltz to Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing," according to judge Bruno Tonioli.
"I was elated," Ginger told E! News' Carissa Culiner after the show of earning the 30/30 score. "The feeling, I still don't quite understand it, I don't think!" Val added that it felt "great" and is making them even more "motivated" to win the competition. "You don't want to do less, you're not taking it for granted."
Aside from the perfect score, another thing Ginger isn't taking for granted is the amazing workout DWTS has been for her following the birth of her son, Adrian, in December 2015.
"We're dancing it away and I feel so good," she gushed. "I feel healthy and it's great post-baby...so few people have this opportunity and I feel really grateful to have the opportunity to dance, but also to feel good!"
And Val has an interesting idea to do "a new mother program in every community where dancers offer their service to new moms to recover in a fun way." But the fan-favorite pro is quick to note that weight loss is never a priority in rehearsals, saying, "I think it's awesome because there's absolutely zero conversation about losing weight...that's the best workout when you're distracted from the actual work."
