Sure, iridescent fabrics, sequins and metallics were aplenty—but leave it to supermodel Jourdan Dunn to lead the pack in a beaded suit of armor, courtesy of Balmain's Olivier Rousteing. The intricacy of the gown alone had us communicating in binary code.
For an unexpected take done in all the right ways, look no further than Selena Gomez. The "Good for You" singer paired her Louis Vuitton frock under a leather bustier with heeled lace-up booties for an overall look that told the next generation to buck up for the future for fashion.
Then there's Kate Hudson, who showed us that futuristic fashion doesn't have to be costume-y. Her cutout white gown will be every bride's dream dress in 10 years.
