Kim Richards Appears in Court to Get Arrest Warrant Recalled

RHOBH star was previously arrested for shoplifting

A judge on Kim Richards' Target shoplifting case issued an arrest warrant on April 27 because she failed to submit records of her AA classes, community service and progress.

But the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, who was represented by Troy Slaten, appeared in court Friday to answer the call, so the warrant was recalled, a spokesperson for the Van Nuys court tells E! News.

Richards was arrested for shoplifting $600 worth of merchandise from a Target in the San Fernando Valley. She spent one night in jail and was released on $5,000 bail, but it wasn't her first run in with the law. Last year the reality TV star was also arrested at the Beverly Hills Hotel after being found slurring her words and reeking of alcohol. She was arrested and charged with one count of public intoxication, one count of resisting, obstructing, delaying a peace officer or EMT, and one count of battery upon a peace officer.

The reality TV star's sobriety has come into question multiple times, especially after she was arrested for shoplifting $600 worth of merchandise from a Target several months after the Beverly Hills Hotel incident.

She spent one night in jail before being released on $5,000 bail and was briefly hospitalized.

In March, Richards opened up about her recovery efforts on Watch What Happens Live. "I'm in recovery and I've decided that, you know, the last time I shared my recovery with the world, that it became no longer mine. It was the public's," she explained. "This time in my recovery, I've decided to keep it for myself. I do share it with my children, so that their worries are…that they don't have any worries. That they know I keep them up to date on what I'm doing in my recovery. But for the public, I've decided that it's really not their business."

It has been a rough year for Richards, who lost her ex-husband Monty Brinson to cancer. She spoke candidly about how she didn't know how she'd cope with his death.

"I wasn't really sure how I would be. I was a little nervous myself. But…our family and I we're all sticking very close together and I know he's an angel over us."
