Less than two weeks after Kesha took center stage at Coachella to perform the song "True Colors" with Zedd, the singer has just released a teaser clip to the official music video.
"This is more than a song," the pop star wrote as a caption to the Facebook video before adding, "This is a declaration of my truth."
In the video, Kesha appears to be elated as she dances through a field of brightly colored rush bushes in a bedazzled leotard.
And while she's most definitely still in the midst of her legal battle with Dr. Luke, it's hard to deny how heart-warming it is to see her smiling once again.
So how did Zedd and Kesha's collaboration come about exactly?
Well, the "Candyman" DJ tweeted his support to the songstress months ago by writing, "@KeshaRose very very sorry to hear about your whole situation. I'll be happy to produce a song for you if you want my help."
And just like that, magic happened. Earlier this week, he teased what was to come with the following message to fans: "Zedd & Kesha – True Colors…Music can be freedom."
The updated track is a new rendition of Zedd's prior song off of his 2015 album of the same name.
Shortly after releasing the track teaser, Zedd wanted to clear the air about how he was able to work with the singer despite her current contract issues with Dr. Luke and Sony.
"Just to clarify: we didn't use any loopholes. Kemosabe/RCA gave us permission to release this song!"
Dr. Luke then quickly responded, "Thanks for the clarification @Zedd."
"True Colors" marks Kesha's first single since 2013's "Timber" with Pitbull.
