SnapchatChrissy Teigen is experiencing new ups and downs of life as a new mom.
The Cravings author has been sharing adorable snaps of life with husband John Legend and their newborn, Luna Simone Stephens, but it looks like the wonders of pregnancy have worn off. In a cute selfie on Snapchat, Teigen appeared makeup free but had a small rash on her cheek.
"Goodbye pregnancy glow," she captioned the picture. "Hi itchy red spots."
Let's be honest: Teigen still manages to look gorgeous au naturel, even if she has some "red spots." When Teigen first gave birth, she joked that didn't know how her social media presence should change given the newest addition to her family. I dunno what to tweet now," wrote the model only three days after giving birth. "Does my twitter change? this is so awkward..."
Based on her Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter, Teigen has successfully navigated the post-baby social media waters. In one Snapchat, Teigen transformed into a puppy with an oversize tongue and pretended to lick a sleeping Lulu. Ahhh, the power of a good filter. Teigen later gave herself a flower crown, making her and Luna appear totally angelic.
But if you thought it was all roses and puppy filters for the vocal Sports Illustrated model, think again! Teigen received some harsh comments on the Internet after she and Legend stepped out for a date night nine days after Luna was born, which she didn't take too well.
"That spotlight pull be strong. One week. Who wants to leave a one week old baby to go to a bar?" one follower wrote. Another user added, "Yeah they could have ordered in…But it's like a competition with these self-absorbed celebs."
The proud mom would not stand for it, so in true Teigen fashion, she defended herself with her signature sense of humor. "I went to dinner. People are pissed. Good morning!" she wrote with screenshots of just a few of the nasty comments. "'I never wanted to leave my daughter, I love her, BUT THAT'S JUST ME' - the passive aggressiveness is real!"
When one fan asked how baby Luna was doing, Chrissy jokingly replied, "I dunno I can't find her."
