UPDATE: Zedd is explaining how he is able to release music with Kesha amid her legal battle. "Just to clarify: We didn't use any loop holes," he tweeted. "Kemosabe / RCA gave us permission to release this song!"

Dr. Luke responded, "Thanks for the clarification @Zedd ..."

It's happening!

After EDM DJ Zedd teased his Instagram followers with a picture of him and Kesha working in the studio, he has officially revealed that they are, in fact, releasing a song together. Zedd shared a photo of the artwork for "True Colors," which will be a new version of the song off his 2015 album of the same name. It appears to be a wooden plaque with ornate gold detailing. There is a large Z in the middle with Zedd & Kesha written above and "True Colors" written at the bottom.

"ZEDD & KESHA - TRUE COLORS," he started the caption. "OFFICIALLY OUT: 4/29. Music can be freedom."

Kesha's ongoing legal battle with Sony and music producer Dr. Luke has become a very public affair, with stars pouring out in waves to advocate for the "Die Young" songstress. #FreeKesha began to trend once her court case made headlines again earlier this year, so Zedd's "Music can be freedom" seems to be referencing her struggles and the efforts she has gone through to get out of her contract.

The "Candyman" DJ previously tweeted his support to Kesha. "@KeshaRose very very sorry to hear about your whole situation," he wrote. "I'll be happy to produce a song for you if you want my help."

Kesha and Zedd performed "True Colors" at Coachella, but the Los Angeles Times reported that she didn't address the crowd at all. Instead, she let the track's powerful message say all that she wanted to say. "I won't apologize for the fire in my eyes," she sang. "Let me show you my true colors."

Not only did she take him up on his offer, she and the DJ went the extra mile by already performing it for a massive crowd. We can only hope this will be one of many future collaborations given the success of her performance at the Palm Springs, Calif., music festival.
