Wet Hot American Summer Sequel Series Coming to Netflix—It's Reunion Time 10 Years Later

It's eternal summer for Netflix. Wet Hot American Summer that is. The streaming service announced it will once again revisit Camp Firewood with a new batch of episodes from the minds of Michael Showalter and David Wain. This time, the action picks up 10 years after the movie and prequel series, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp.

Wain will direct and write with Showalter.

The cast of the original film, including them Elizabeth Banks, H. Jon Benjamin, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Nina Hellman, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, AD Miles, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, David Hyde Pierce, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd, Marisa Ryan and Molly Shannon, also returned for the prequel series. No cast was announced for Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later.

The original movie ended with the group promising to meet again 10 years later to, "see what kind of people we've blossomed into," Cooper's character said.

Get ready for 1991 fashions! A reunion scene was included after credits in the original move, get a taste of what's to come.

Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later will be eight episodes and have a 2017 premiere date.
