There's a first time for everything, including a proposal on Naked and Afraid. Matt Wright, 33, was having a rough go of it on the Discovery Channel series, he has lost his fish trap and hasn't had any success hunting frogs to eat.
"I've been failing at everything I try to do today. I would say morale is probably at an all-time low right now," he says in the preview video above. So he turns to a note his girlfriend, Brooke Benham gave him for the naked journey in Thailand. He was there along with Lindsay Bossclair. Production on the episode was very extreme, at one point weather, including a torrential downpour, separated the participants from the production crew.
The hidden message from Brooke at the right time after all the hardships prompted Matt to make a huge decision: it's time to get married.
"Brooke, from the day I met you, I fell in love at first sight," he says, naked on one knee. "And so I ask you now: Will you make me the luckiest man in the world?"
Matt showed Brooke the footage when he returned, presenting it to her as a sneak preview. She said yes and the two will be married on June 26!
