The world is still struggling to grasp with the fact that Prince has passed away

The pop icon, who was just 57 , was found dead at his estate in Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota Thursday, two sources told E! News. Prince's rep later confirmed his death. The singer, whose hits include "Little Red Corvette," "Kiss," "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World," and of course "Purple Rain"  won seven Grammy Awards over the course of his career. He also won an Academy Award for his performance in 1984's Purple Rain, a fictionalized account of his rise to career success.

Prince was married to backup dancer Mayte Garcia from 1996 to 2000; they had a son in 1996, Boy Gregory, who sadly died at just a week old of natural causes. Prince was later married to Manuela Testolini in 2001, but they divorced in 2006.

The loss of this legendary musician is hard to comprehend, but there is one thing we can all agree on: His life and career were extraordinary.
