Joe Giudice received a very special visitor this weekend in prison.

E! News can confirm the Real Housewives of New Jersey star was able to meet with Teresa Giudice on Friday when she made her first trip to the prison facility since her husband's sentence began.

"She was so happy to see him," a source shared with People who first reported the news. "It was a very emotional visit."

It's been almost four weeks since the reality star began his 41-month federal prison sentence at Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution in New Jersey. The punishment comes after being convicted of bankruptcy fraud and failure to file income tax returns.

Despite the difficult circumstances, Teresa is already trying her best to remain strong for the couple's daughters.

Teresa is "a rock for [Joe], as he was a rock for her," the Giudice family attorney James J. Leonard recently told E! News. "They're a very strong family and they're holding together the best they can."

In a video statement to Bravo's The Daily Dish, Teresa also expressed her gratitude for all of her supporters as she continues adjusting to her family's situation.

"I just want to say thank you so much to all my fans out there," she began. "All your love and support means the world to me and my family. It has been a difficult week for us, but we're making it through, thank God."

She continued, "Joe's doing as well as expected. Of course we spoke to him. And I just want to say thank you again from the bottom of my heart for being there, and for all your beautiful tweets. Love, love, love you from my family to yours."

Ultimately, Teresa is staying busy with several projects that will help support the family. But perhaps the most important job for the Bravo star is mom.

"Getting ready to see Gabriella's soccer game with @TrueGia," she wrote on Twitter this weekend. "#soccermom #TSF #sisterlove."
