What did we ever do before Snapchat and its filters?

Thanks to the modern social media marvel, we now have the magic to transform ourselves into a police man, a painting, a dog, an old person and even each other with the touch of one button.

Hollywood's most famous have taken notice. Despite their hectic schedules, even the most successful of stars have spared minutes in their days to pose like a dog with its tongue flailing.

Most recently, fashionista Victoria Beckham and her celebrity pal Eva Longoria gave the filters a whirl, opting for the adorable puppy ears and nose.

What was more entertaining, however, was the fact that Posh Spice couldn't get the filter to coordinate properly with her face, so she posed stoically with her tongue in the air. Much like a selfie, the perfect Snapchat filter requires a bit of trial and error, we're afraid.

Here's a cheat sheet of all the stars who have mastered the art of the Snapchat filter.

Songstress Ariana Grande artfully showcases how to coordinate multiple Snapchat filters at once, including the crying effect, the bunny face and the sped-up timer. Nicely done, Ari.

Model Kendall Jenner always knows what on trend, so she stuck with the classic dog filter. Wish we would look this couture in our Snapchat stories!

Is that you, Kylie Jenner? The makeup maven looks completely transformed thanks to the help of the wide-eyed filter.

Kim Kardashian's makeup is always picture-perfect, but with the touch of Snapchat, her eyeliner and lipstick are in the middle of a faux meltdown.

Kourtney Kardashian added a bit of dark drama to her day with this gothic effect.

Nick Jonas' face is looking a little lop-sided thanks to this distorting filter.

Finally, parents-to-be Chrissy Teigen and John Legend gave us a glimpse of what their future baby might look like with the help of the face swap method.
