Watch: Allison Williams Has High Hopes for "Girls" Finale

The end is almost here.

Girls is set to wrap up its stellar fifth season on Sunday night, setting up the series' sixth and final season. Yes, we only have one more year with our favorite group of second-tier best friends, and when E! News recently caught up with star Allison Williams, she revealed what she's hoping to see from Marnie, who is in the process of getting divorced, before the HBO hit signs off for good. (And yes, she's just as emotional as we are over saying goodbye!)

"I'd love to see an act of love and selflessness from Marnie," Williams shared. "If I see that next season it'll be a victory and she'll have been utterly transformed. Those are really rare for her!"

And while Williams said she's talked about Marnie's ultimate ending with creator and star Lena Dunham throughout the entire series' run, she's actually stopped now that they're actually reaching the end. "I trust her so much that I know she'll bring it all to a very poetic and Girls-ian end."

As for Dunham's character Hannah, she's dealing with the fallout from finally learning that her (former?) BFF Jessa (Jemima Kirke) is now with her former BF Adam (Adam Driver). And while the implosion of the Hannah-Jessa friendship has been hard for fans to watch, it's been just as hard for the actors.

"That is a really special relationship," Dunham said. "We can't promise you how it ends, but it's funny...because every day Jemima Kirke asks me to fix the friendship. She's like, 'It makes me uncomfortable that our friendship is messed up on-screen, can you please fix it?'"

But can it ever be fixed? To hear more from Lena and executive producer Jenni Konner, including who wrote Hannah's now-infamous Basic Instinct moment, watch our interview with the Girls showrunners above.

Girls' season finale airs Sunday at 10 p.m. on HBO.
