Watch: Did Dina Manzo &Teresa Giudice Talk During Prison Stint?

Teresa Giudice needed her friends while she was in prison, and Dina Manzo made sure she got one.

While promoting her line Glow by Dina, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star opened up to E! News about keeping in touch with Teresa while she was in prison and shared that her time away actually made them become better friends. "We kept in touch via email like daily," she said. "As a matter of fact in some odd way I think it brought us closer because not many people had email access to her.

"I was one of the chosen ones," she joked.

Although Teresa faced her ups and downs while away from her family for more than a year, she was able to confide in Dina, who made sure to always make her laugh. Dina told us that they usually kept their conversations to "girl talk" in order to make Teresa's time behind bars easier.

"She was telling me about her exercise and checking in because I was seeing Audriana [Giudice] and Joe [Giudice] a lot," she shared. "We didn't get deep. It was just keeping it light and moving her right through it."

Haute Hostess

Teresa has been vocal about her passion for exercise since being released from prison. During her stay she learned all about the practice of yoga and said she would want to one day become an instructor.

"I love yoga. It changed my life," Teresa told E! News after she was released. "I want to get certified, but I'm not doing it as much because I'm working nonstop."

Months after her release, she finally made her dream come true!

The reality TV star, whose husband is now serving time, shared a photo on Instagram that showed her training for her first post-prison job: a yoga instructor. "With Erin Barry #nirvana #TeacherTraining2016 #adjustmentworkshop #authenticisthenewspritual," she captioned the picture. Nirvana, located in Montville, New Jersey, is Teresa's studio of choice.

"I want to come out with my own yoga DVD tape, my own yoga line," Teresa wrote in her book, Turning the Tables: From Housewife to Inmate and Back Again. "If you put out what you want, sometimes you get it. Never say, 'I can't do that,' because then you're already bringing yourself down."
