Fasten your seat belt Charlize Theron because you're in for one unforgettable ride.

Almost one week after the Fast & Furious 8 crew announced that the actress is joining the franchise, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson welcomed his new co-star in a special way.

"Want to officially welcome my good bud and all around bad ass Charlize Theron to FAST & FURIOUS 8," he shared in a new Instagram posted Wednesday afternoon. "When MTV asked her how she felt about coming in and playing the villain, her response was classic and the reason why I love that woman.. she said, ‘I'm coming to mess that s--t up!" #HellYeah #BringIt #FF8 #DaddysGottaGoToWork."

Charlize will join returning stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson and Jason Statham. As for whether or not she will be a "speed demon," that may be a bit of a stretch.

"I feel like that gang has got the driving down. Like, they have a really good thing going. I don't know if I need to step in in that department," she recently shared with E! News' Zuri Hall. "I might have to step in a different department. I think they have the driving down. I just want to gently ease fans into not expecting too much from me behind the wheel."

As for who's directing the next installment, Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray recently confirmed his role on social media.

"I could not have asked for better partners than Vin Diesel, Neal H. Moritz, & the Universal Studios Entertainment family," he posted on Facebook. "Together we are excited to bring you the next chapter in the Fast & Furious saga. ‪#‎FastFamily."

Earlier this week, E! News also confirmed that Scott Eastwood will be joining the movie franchise. While he couldn't say too much about his role, the actor hinted that he gets to play an exciting new character who operates under Kurt Russell.

"It's hard to put into words how excited I am for the next Fast & Furious," Scott shared on Instagram. "To me, the series is so much more than just a franchise. It's a legacy. These great actors who have been in it together for so long have become a family. I absolutely can't wait to join it."
