Snapchat Forget about the tennis court. Serena Williams is ready to hit the pool!
With summer just a couple of months away, the professional athlete decided to show off her athletic physique on social media.
As seen in her weekend Snapchats, Serena captured a photo of herself wearing a bathing suit that included a light blue top and floral bottoms with cut outs.
While trying to perfect her selfie face, Venus Williams' sister told her followers, "Who about to get in the pool? It's me."
She later added, "I need a lesson on how to do that like selfie face, I'm not good at that."
During a recent appearance on Good Morning America, the tennis champ opened up about loving her body. She wanted her female fans to know that there's nothing wrong with being a "full woman."
"It's me and I love me and I learned to love me and I've been like this my whole life, and I embrace me, and I love how I look," she shared on the morning news program. "I love that I'm a full woman and I am strong, and I'm powerful, and I'm beautiful at the same time, and there's nothing wrong like that."
She added, "It's so important to look at the positives, if I get caught up looking at the negatives it can really bring you down."
Putting selfies and swimwear aside, perhaps the most important lesson Serena shared was after being crowned Sports Illustrated's Sportsperson of the Year. Her advice to her younger self and young girls may just resonate with everyone.
"I'd say just keep trying never stop. It's so important to keep going and believe in your dreams," Serena told E! News. "It's just really special."
