Nicolas Cage and Vince Neil lit up the Las Vegas strip this week, and it wasn't with the help of the city's bright lights.

The actor and Mötley Crüe singer were at the Aria Hotel on the Vegas strip, when, according to police, Neil got into an altercation with a female. The woman in question received minor injuries, Las Vegas Metro Police tell E! News.

In video footage obtained by the media outlet, the National Treasure star is seen grabbing his friend in order to try to calm him down while standing outside. "Stop this s--t now," Cage can be heard saying.

Neil, dressed in a black T-shirt and cargo pants, gives into Cage's embrace. "You're OK," Cage adds. "I love you." Cage looks put together in a white button down and blue suit. A security guard tries to intervene to calm everyone down while innocent bystanders stand back and watch the fight unwind.

Neil was cited and charged with a misdemeanor for battery and will have to appear in court.

E! News has reached out to reps for Neil and Cage for comment.

This isn't Neil's first altercation with the law. In 1984, he pleaded guilty to DUI and vehicular manslaughter in the death of Hanoi Rocks drummer Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley after he crashed into another car, also injuring two occupants in that vehicle. Neil ended up serving 15 days of a 30-day jail sentence, paid $2.5 million in restitution to the victims and their families and served 200 hours of community service.

He was arrested once again in June 2010 for DUI.
