Melissa McCarthy Talking With a Mouth Guard Will Either Make You Laugh or Haunt Your Dreams

The actress was at a loss for words Wednesday night on The Late Late Show

There is never a dull moment when James Corden is on television—add Melissa McCarthy to the mix and you have late-night dynamite. 

For the sake of comedy, the host and actress decided to wear mouth guards during an entire segment on The Late Late Show Wednesday night.

If you've ever wanted to see the intimate details of either celebrity's gums, here's your chance. 

While speaking was nearly impossible, Corden, McCarthy and fellow actress Kristen Schaal decided to try out some other ordinary tasks with their new mouth accessories—including drinking water and blowing bubbles.

Spoiler alert: the mundane tasks took on a whole new level of difficulty when paired with the sexy mouthpieces. 

Fortunately, this trio of quick-thinking comics managed to get some bubbles going anyway with just a bit of creativity.

Still, no amount of innovation could help them drink the water without spilling it all over themselves.
