Can someone check on Dale Earnhardt Jr.? We're worried about him. And so is the rest of the Internet.

The Nascar star posted a photo of his lunch on Twitter recently, which is a normal thing to do. In fact, we think it's a prerequisite before making a Twitter account to promise you'll post a photo of your meal at least once a week. Anyway, the photo that Dale shared of his lunch has sent the Internet spiraling, because...well, just look at it!

"Making my favorite sandwich. I swear it's delicious," he captioned underneath a photo of what appears to be a healthy amount of mayonnaise topped with a banana on white bread.

Mayonnaise and banana. Mayonnaise. Banana. MAYONNAISE. AND. BANANA.

We don't know how to type out the sound of dry-heaving, but rest assured that's the sound that came out of our mouth when we first saw this picture. Wait, let us give it a try. "Hurrrrrgh!" Close enough.

But yeah, seeing a sweet, squishy fruit on top of a pretty thick layer of what is essentially whipped egg yolk, lemon and vinegar made us shudder and question Dale's well-being. And we were not alone in that assessment:

Stay out of this, Hellmann's!

Dale did defend his choice of sandwich after seeing the intense backlash, but he somehow made it worse.

"The banana mayo sandwich combo reaction is always so passionate," he tweeted. "What if you added peanut butter? That's always an option you know."

No. NOPE. That should never be an option. What the hell happened to peanut butter and jelly?! Look, we're all about being culinary adventurous. But what posesses a person to slap these ingregients together and just chow down?

To be fair, there were plenty of people who claimed that they've tried this sandwich before and loved it. But when even Nascar is judgmental of your life choices, you might want to take a step back and reevaluate what's on your plate:
