That was a tough one.

We're not even just talking about the elimination. After finally looking like she was having at least a marginally good time, Mischa Barton was voted off of Dancing with the Stars. Fortunately, she seemed more relieved than upset about being sent home, and we are also feeling that relief. No longer will we have to watch Mischa Barton sadly shuffle across the dance floor when we are unable to reach our arms through the TV screen and give her a hug.

Elsewhere tonight, the stars celebrated and honored their most memorable years. Some were happy and some were terribly sad, but they almost all resulted in some pretty solid dancing. Paige VanZant and Wanya Morris continued to dominate, but a new challenger took this week's highest score—and the first nine!

Without further ado, here is our ranking of the performances:

ABC

Mischa Barton and Artem Chigvintsev: 18/30

It was as much a party in the USA as it could be, thanks to the troupe backing it up. Poor Mischa. We wish you the best.

ABC

10. Marla Maples and Tony Dovolani: 21/30

How is it honoring 1993 to dance to Pharrell's "Happy?" Whatever.  Marla continues to confuse us.

ABC

9. Doug Flutie and Karina Smirnoff: 20/30

Doug is a paso doble guy, and not so much a waltz guy. Fun fact: We recently rewatched some Dawson's Creek and were reminded of the time Henry sold Doug Flutie's mouth guard in order to afford a kiss with Jen Lindley. Good times.

ABC

8. Von Miller and Witney Carson: 20/30

Did not expect Von Miller to pick a Phil Collins song but did not hate watching Von Miller dance shirtless to a Phil Collins song. We just wish he had given it a little more energy.

ABC

7. Ginger Zee and Val Chmerkovskiy: 21/30

Can we bottle Ginger's infectious energy and consume it during long tiresome afternoons? And can we also steal her baby?

ABC

6. Kim Fields and Sasha Farber: 22/30

Kim Fields is actually the cutest human being. Her squeals when Len Goodman praised her routine were just delightful, as was her Facts of Life tribute dance.

ABC

5. Antonio Brown and Sharna Burgess: 20/30

How dare you, Antonio? How dare you bring your adorable son onto the dance floor? How are we supposed to be impartial in the face of such adorableness?? We paid no attention to the actual dancing but it must have been great.

ABC

4. Wanya Morris and Lindsay Arnold: 24/30

We would not have picked the national anthem to dance to. It was weird and it felt like it took a little bit of the luster out of Wanya's usual dance abilities.

ABC

3. Paige VanZant and Mark Ballas: 23/30

So glad Marc is back to dancing, because dance fights are up there among our favorite things and this was an excellent specimen of one.

ABC

2. Jodie Sweetin and Keo Motsepe: 23/30

There were actual tears leaking out of our eyes as Jodie danced to celebrate her sobriety and her Fuller House comeback. Everything about this was beautiful.

ABC

1. Nyle DiMarco and Peta Murgatroyd: 25/30

Flawless. If it wasn't flawless, we don't want to know.

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
