Iggy Azalea has quite a few butterflies in her stomach ahead of  the 2016 iHeartRadio Music Awards.

The talented emcee told E! News' Jason Kennedy that because this is her first awards show performance without a fellow artist accompanying her on stage, she's feeling, "a bit nervous."

Lucky for Iggy, she'll be breaking it down to her new jam "Team," which she revealed is all about staying true to herself.

"Everybody knows, it's no secret, I had a bit of a turbulent 2015," the 25-year-old dished. "I wanted to not breeze over that. I wanted to acknowledge how I felt about it, and I just wanted to say, 'You know what? I think it's fine if everybody doesn't support me because I am a believer in myself.'"

As for tackling future hardships, Azalea made it clear she's got everything under control.

"My motto is just like the song says: 'I got me.' Just have your own back. I think we worry a lot about people liking our pages or how many followers we have, and you just gotta worry about your own thing," she said.

But in addition to being a strong independent woman, Iggy gave a heartfelt shout out to her BFF Demi Lovato for always sticking by her (and keeping her stomach full!).

"Demi is awesome and it's so cool we live so close to each other because I can just roll down to her house and knock on her door and harass her and eat her food in her kitchen when I don't have any groceries," Azalea mused.

Now that's true friendship.
