InstagramBoth Lamar Odom and Rob Kardashian have endured their own issues over the past year, but they've used their strong friendship as a way to try to get through their struggles.
Even though Rob lived a reclusive lifestyle for a while, finally coming out of his shell after his relationship with Blac Chyna went public, he and Lamar stayed close. "Rob and Lamar speak all the time," a source tells E! News. "They have a very strong friendship and have helped each other out of dark times and continue to lift each other up."
Not only have Lamar and Rob helped each other, but the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star has also made great strides thanks to his girlfriend. Rob has been out and about more than ever as of late, traveling with Blac to be by her side during their club appearances and even going on cute birthday dates. The relationship is getting really serious, as Rob recently met Blac's mom in person. Blac, her mom and Rob posed for a photo together, where Rob stood in the middle and wrapped his arms around each woman.
Although the relationship has been a controversial one for some members of the family, mom Kris Jenner is just content that her son is doing well. "But you know, he's been very, very happy lately and I think he's in a really good place," she told the Kyle and Jackie O Show. "I don't know too much about their relationship."
She continued, "He feels, you know, much better about himself. He's trying to just get healthy and get in shape. He's been working on a few projects."
Now on a healthy diet and exercise regimen, Rob has shown off the results of his hard working during public appearances, where he has put his slimmer frame on display. "[His family] hasn't seen Rob come out of his shell like this in years," a source previously shared with E! News. "The family is very grateful for Blac's help with giving Rob 'confidence' again and putting his health and fitness first."
The rest of his family is starting to come around, too. "Kris Jenner would like Blac Chyna to start coming to family events once things have calmed down a bit," the insider also dished. "All the sisters are happy to have their brother back. Kylie Jenner is also coming around now."
