Kris Jenner: Blac Chyna "Seems Like a Really Nice Girl"

The two stepped out as a couple in January

Kris Jenner appears to approve of son Rob Kardashian's girlfriend Blac Chyna, although the Keeping Up With the Kardashians matriarch adds she hasn't "been around her too much."

Rob, 29, and Chyna, 27, stepped out as a couple in January. She has never been photographed with members of his family as long as they've been dating.

"I haven't really seen her that much and I don't know her as well as everyone else but she seems like a really nice girl and I just haven't been around her too much," Kris said on the Kyle and Jackie O show on Australian radio station KIIS-FM 1065 Wednesday. "But you know, he's been very, very happy lately and I think he's in a really good place. I don't know too much about their relationship."

Kris also said Rob is "doing really, really well." He has appeared slimmer and healthier in recent months, following a diabetes diagnosis in December.

"He feels, you know, much better about himself," Kris said. "He's trying to just get healthy and get in shape. He's been working on a few projects." 

Rob celebrated his birthday with most of his family members last week at the Japanese restaurant Nobu in Malibu. Chyna did not attend the party. She and her beau had earlier celebrated his birthday with her son, King Cairo, 3, whose father is Rob's sister Kylie Jenner's boyfriend, Tyga, 26.

Kris said the family's birthday celebration for Rob was "really, really great."

Khloe Kardashian, 31, and Caitlyn Jenner, 66, were not seen in photos several family members posted from the bash.

"I don't even know where Caitlyn was, to be honest" Kris said. "She could've been out of town, which is usually the case. The kids were making calls and seeing, you know, who could come because we actually did it last-minute...you know, it takes a village to get the whole family together."

Kris told Entertainment Tonight Khloe missed the party because "she was working and then she was sick."

Kris also talked about her own relationship with Corey Gamble, who also attended Rob's family bash. They two began dating in late 2014.

"It's fine, it's great," she said on the Kyle & Jackie O show. "He's sitting next to me. We're on our way to an event. He's super smart and super nice and he is just a real great guy and the kids love him and we all have a really good time."
