Here comes the bride!
Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney has her groom Tom Schwartz and the engagement ring—all she needs now is a special dress for her upcoming special day.
Joined by castmates Stassi Schroeder, Kristen Doute and Scheana Shay as well as her pal and stand-up comic Rachael O'Brien, the bride-to-be tried on a handful of gowns to determine her look for her California wedding in a video for Glamour.
To set the tone, Maloney first tried a lace, long-sleeved ivory gown with a plunging neckline and belted fitted bodice. According to the star, the dress had the ideal style she had envisioned wearing. Her squad was more than pleased with the first choice.
"It's like boho chic-y couture-y," Doute exclaimed.
Still, it was just the start to the shopping spree. On to the next option!
The following gown was similar to the first, only with a satin bodice and off-the-shoulder lace sleeves. "I don't know if he would be crazy with the back," Maloney said of her fiancé. "Oddly he can be very nitpicky."
Not all of the gowns were winners. While a traditional ballgown with lace sleeves looked beautiful on her, Maloney wasn't so crazy for the silhouette. "I'm not a Disney princess," she declared. So, it wasn't love at first sight, but do not fret—the brunette beauty ultimately found one she was willing to say "I Do" to.
Fifth time was the charm for Maloney, who tried on a cream and nude printed gown on her final try. While it may not have been the traditional bride's cup of tea, the reality star stood out in the one-of-a-kind style.
"I definitely feel like this could be the one," she said into the camera. "I put it on and I immediately got goosebumps."
"It just feels like me," she added. "I wanted something different. I wanted this shape. I wanted the lace. I wanted the sleeves. I just wanted something that felt like me."
With the wedding gown nearly picked out, Maloney can go back to tackling the guest list.
"The guest list is the biggest stress factor for me," Schwartz told Page Six. "I know so many great people around the country and the world. But the usual suspects will be there, my ‘Vander' buddies. I'm more stressed about that than anything else."
