Often, first dates fall on workweek nights, and that means you're most likely crunched for time when it comes to getting ready. You have under an hour to turn your day hair into something night-appropriate…Scotty Cunha to the rescue! The celebrity hairstylist (known for his amazing Kardashian/Jenner 'dos) has five hot tips you should probably make note of. There's one for every situation and hair type so listen up.

If you don't have time for a blowout…"I would use my new favorite dry shampoo by The Ouai. It smells amazing and freshens up the hair without leaving it white—it also totally revives the hair."

If you do have time for a blowout, but the end result is just too much…"use a flat iron on a low setting to go over the waves. It'll relax the hair a bit so it doesn't look too done up!"

If you think your guy is a little more on the chill side and you're going on an "activity date"…"you can glam up your ponytail! Grab a piece of the hair from the pony, add Eclat Natural from Leonor Greyl, wrap the elastic and use a bobby pin to secure it. Then use Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray on the ends to finish the look."

If your date is more on the fancy side…"I love a low bun. The easiest way to get this look is to part your hair in the middle, use Kardashian Beauty Back Comb to create a perfect part, then grab the hair toward the nape and wrap it into a bun. Grab large open French pins to secure the hair."

If you have grey and no time to touch up your roots…"the best product is Color Wow. It's like eye shadow for your hair. It's not sticky, like most color sprays, and looks totally natural—it also comes in every color!"
