Reese Witherspoon Performs "Sweet Home Alabama" at Her 40th Birthday Party

Fantasy became reality Saturday night at Reese Witherspoon's star-studded 40th birthday party at a Warwick nightclub in Hollywood.

The actress, who captured millions of viewers' hearts with her performance in the 2002 romantic comedy movie Sweet Home Alabama, sang the iconic Lynyrd Skynyrd song, accompanied by Keith Urban on guitar, as seen n videos guest and renowned Vanity Fair and fashion writer Derek Blasberg posted on his Instagram page.

Witherspoon, who wore a gorgeous sparkling dress, posted on Instagram and Snapchat photos and videos of her and her mother driving to the party.

"Are you gonna get crazy on the dance floor, Mom?" the actress asks.

Other attendees included Taylor Swift and Kate Hudson, who posted photos from the party on Instagram and shared on her Snapchat a video of the pop star singing her hit "Shake It Off" at the event.

"When you take a s--t load of pictures and you still don't have it perfect so you go for the ole collage post..." Hudson wrote on Instagram. "Happy Birthday gorgeous girl @reesewitherspoon !!! Jennifer Meyer, wife of actor Tobey Maguire, Witherspoon's co-star in Pleasantville, posted on her Instagram page a photo of Hudson and two other friends at the party.

"Happy birthday @reesewitherspoon," she wrote.

Erin Foster, daughter of Grammy-winning producer David Foster and co-creator of the reality parody show Barely Famous, also attended and left the event with Hudson.

"What's the percentage of guys you've actually hooked up and people think you've hooked up with?" Erin asked the actress on their ride home.

"Five percent. Seventy five percent," Hudson joked.

"Don't you think being like a movie star you should be with like, some hot dude tonight instead of me?" Erin asked.

"Yeah," Hudson said.

Cheryl Strayed, author of her memoir Wild, whose 2014 movie adaptation earned Witherspoon an Oscar nomination, posted on her Instagram page a selfie showing her with actress Laura Dern, who played Strayed's mother in the film, and Swift.

"Um.. @taylorswift @lauradern #happybirthdayreese," she wrote.
