Watch: All Hell Breaks Loose on "Daredevil" Season 2

Elektra and Matt Murdock, Matt Murdock and Karen Page, Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, Foggy Nelson and Matt Murdock...there are lots of pairings at play in Daredevil season two and somebody's going to get hurt, both physically and emotionally.

"One of the things I really loved about the first season was...If you know anything about Matt Murdock, if you know anything about the Daredevil comics, you meet Karen Page and you know that she is arguably the love of his life, so you expect them to get together pretty rapidly," Matt Murdock/Daredevil himself, Charlie Cox, told E! News in the video above. "Of course the whole of the first season went by with not much more than a few glances and a couple of hands touching and the suggestion of feelings emerging."

Now that Daredevil has put Wilson Fisk away and crime is at an all-time low, things start to spark between Matt and Karen (Deborah Ann Woll). "It means that Karen, but particularly Matt, can start to explore these feelings," Cox said. That is until Frank Castle, aka The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and Matt's ex-girlfriend, the deadly assassin Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung) come to down. Then, "all hell breaks loose."

This season, Karen's putting her voice to good use and butting heads with just about everybody. "She didn't have an application for it," Woll told E! News about her character's voice. "She had it, but no one was listening."

Now people are listening, which has "been great," Woll said.

The show naturally breaks away from the comic book source material, but fans of the funny books know Karen Page meets a certain bitter end at the hands of Daredevil's foe Bullseye. Woll isn't worried.

"[Laughs.] No, I think we're really—we have a lot more leeway with Karen," she said. "We don't necessarily have to stick to the origin story that was created by the comic books for her. I feel like we can actually do anything we want."

Anything they want doesn't include any physical butt-kicking. Woll is more than happy to stick to the sidelines there.

"I played a superhero for seven years on another series, so I'm really happy that Karen's super strength is her intelligence and her guts," she said.
