If you thought that relations between the How to Get Away With Murder gang couldn't possibly get strained any further heading into tonight's big season finale, Charlie Weber wants you to prepare yourself.

With his character taking center stage in the hour following Laurel's (Karla Souza) drunken admission to Annalise (Viola Davis) about Frank's involvement in Lila's death at the start of the series, Weber warns that events in the finale just might change the show for good. "I would say [it's] completely show-altering," he told E! News. "I don't see how things can't change shape with the way the relationships have all re-aligned. I mean, we'll see. At least in the near future, many people will have to find their way back. It's impossible for seven of us to be in a room together right now. It's absolutely impossible, so it has no choice but to change."

One of the biggest changes, of course, will be Frank's relationship with Annalise now that she knows the truth. Weber tells us that, while it's an issue for Frank that Laurel spilled the beans, he's got bigger fish to try in the aftermath of her blabbing. "He's not happy, but the repercussions, the way he feels about Annalise bump those feelings that he's going to have about what she did tenfold," he explained. "For me, Frank will be so concerned about Annalise's reaction and how he can make this OK with her. The Laurel thing, despite how heavy that is, will be completely secondary."

And if you're hoping for a reconciliation between Frank and Laurel, Weber's got some bad news for you. "His admission about Lila was a way that somebody that screwed up says I love you. She did not react well," he said. "The scene where she broke up with me over that felt very finite and very real. I think Frank kind of absorbed that, and I think you'll see, going forward, they'll always be bound by their sins, but I think on a romantic level, that they're both going to move on from this."

Romantic woes may be the least of any of these character's problems if they don't stop getting themselves tangled up in all this murder, however. They've managed to sidestep any serious repercussions thus far—by the skin of their teeth—but we've got a sinking suspicion that their relative good luck won't last forever. "It certainly is a house of cards," Weber agreed. "You have to wonder. I think the beautiful part of the second part of the season is that we took a step back and let it sort of be about these characters and let you get to know us. And also we're going to continue with that and kind of pump the brakes on all the murder. There will still be people getting killed, but we'll see. Ultimately, over time, something will catch up to them, yes."

Might tonight be the night? We'll just have to tune in to find out.

How to Get Away With Murder's season finale airs tonight at 10 p.m. on ABC.
