You know what literally every single person on How to Get Away With Murder should have done a long time ago? What Annalise (Viola Davis) did at the end of last week's episode: GET THE HECK OUT OF TOWN AND AWAY FROM ALL THIS MURDERY NONSENSE.

"Going to funerals is all I've been doing since the last time I saw you," she says. "I just thank god I didn't have to add you to the list."
But Annalise is better, she protests to her mother.
"Better than being shot up, but that doesn't make you all better," her wise mom responds. "Otherwise why would you drag your behind out here?"
It's a sweet moment featuring the two women cooking together in the kitchen—until a very unexpected and incredibly unwelcome (judging by Annalise's response) guest walks in: Annalise's father, whom she hasn't seen in years.
"It's not every day a daddy hears his baby girl's come home for a visit," he says.
