The last few months have been riddled with heartache for Kristin Cavallari

Just weeks after the 29-year-old former reality star gave birth to her third child, daughter Saylor James, her world was tragically rocked by the disappearance of her brother Michael Cavallari. Days after his car was abandoned and he was reported missing, Michael's body was found in Utah and his death was ruled the accidental result of hypothermia.

As the news of the loss began to settle, Cavallari's car was hit by a driver in Chicago in January and she was hospitalized with a dislocated elbow.

"It's been tough," she told Robin Roberts on Good Morning America of the aftermath. "I've really just found a lot of strength in my children. When you lose someone that you love, it obviously makes you realize how precious life is and so, I've just been thankful for my family and everyone in my life."

As the mom of three kids 3 years old and younger, Cavallari's hands are certainly filled with mommy duties. However, she says her new bundle of joy has been anything but difficult throughout the last four months.

"She's awesome. She's my best baby. I'm really lucky. It's fun. We have a girl now—the energy in our house has definitely shifted," she gushed. Cavallari shares Saylor and her two older sons with husband, professional football player Jay Cutler. "I needed someone on my team, you know!"

Throughout this trying time, she also needed someone to help her pull through the loss—that person was little Saylor.

"She has been my light throughout this whole thing and has given me so much strength," Kristin previously wrote on her Instagram account. "Thank you baby girl for coming when u did..."
