The attraction between dueling Voice coaches-turned-couple Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton is so very real that they began dating in real life—and you can see their crazy chemistry in action in the No Doubt frontwoman's big return to the show in her new role as adviser to Shelton's team.

Seriously, press play on the clip above to watch the sparks fly between the two singers as Stefani helps young singers Paxton Ingram and Brittney Lawrence take on Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's duet "I Know What You Did Last Summer."

"I knew you were coming back for season 10," Shelton slyly says to Stefani.

In an interview, he adds, "I brought Gwen in because if there's anybody who understands what a Battle Round is, it's somebody who's been a coach. She knows what it takes to win this thing."

And since Stefani's style of music is very different from Shelton's country know-how, his girlfriend provides a valuable perspective that he doesn't have. You can see it in action as Stefani gives Ingram and Lawrence advice on their stage presence and performance style—and even critiques her boyfriend's wardrobe (all in good fun, of course).

While Stefani didn't make it to see her man host the 2016 Kids' Choice Awards this weekend, she sent two adorable proxies in her place: sons Zuma and Apollo, who were both spotted at the ceremony.

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
