Seeing double? Fans certainly are.
It's no secret that Jason Sudeikis and Ed Helms look eerily alike. Both are famous in their own right—one is the major star of Horrible Bosses and its sequel, the other is unforgettable for his participation in The Hangover trilogy. Only when they starred together in Vacation did fans finally notice their subtle differences.
Still, as they continue to portray similarly snarky characters with almost identical facial features, it can sometimes be tricky to tell the two apart on the silver screen and off.
Funny man Sudeikis has learned to just laugh the incessant mix-ups off.
"I'm in a good place in the sense that [my doppelgänger] is a really nice funny smart guy," he told Conan O'Brien on Conan Wednesday.
Despite his good spirits, the actor revealed one particularly embarrassing moment with a fan who thought she was getting a candid shot with The Office star.
While attending the White House Correspondents' Dinner in Washington, D.C., Sudeikis was approached by a woman who wanted to take a photo with him. While they were taking the picture, the star introduced himself to her by first name, but the name Jason was not what she expected to hear.
"Did you think I was Ed Helms from The Hangover?" he asked her mid-photo. Her response still brings a smile to his face.
"Yeah, but it's OK," she said. "You look enough like him."
When he thought all was said and done, the lady revisited him later in the night, asking to take another photo. Confused, Sudeikis asked her why she wanted to pose again.
"I know who you are now," she replied.
We certainly admire her honesty.
