On Thursday, Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures released the second trailer for Captain America: Civil War ahead of its May 6 theatrical release.
Captain America: Civil War boasts an large cast that includes Paul Bettany as Vision, Chadwick Boseman as T'Challa/Black Panther, Daniel Brühl as Helmut Zemo, Don Cheadle as James Rhodes/War Machine, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America, Martin Freeman as Everett Ross, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones, Tom Holland as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, William Hurt as Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross, Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch, Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts, Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye, Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier and Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter/Agent 13. With so much star power, Captain America: Civil War is the studio's longest film yet with a run time of 2 hours and 27 minutes. The previous record holder was Avengers: Age of Ultron at 2 hours and 21 minutes.
To say the trailer previews a few of the fights to come would be an understatement. Fans will see Iron Man vs. Captain America! Black Panther vs. Winter Soldier! Iron Man vs. Winter Soldier! War Machine vs. Winter Soldier! Scarlet Witch vs. Vision! Hawkeye and Ant-Man vs. Iron Man! Crossbones vs. Captain America! The list goes on. Best of all, there's Spider-Man cameo. (He's #TeamIronMan, by the way.)
Anthony Russo and Joe Russo returned to direct the third Captain America standalone film after successfully helming 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The brothers will also direct the superhero- and villain-packed Avengers: Infinity War Part I in 2018, followed by Avengers: Infinity War Part II in 2019.
