Paula Patton is on the market.
The actress, 40, tells me she's "very" open to dating.
So what are the top three qualities she looks for in a man?
"Kindness, compassion and intelligence," Patton told me at the premiere of her new romantic comedy The Perfect Match (in theaters tomorrow).
"We will always love each other and be best friends; however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time," the pair said in a joint statement when they announced their separation.

Their son Julian will turn six next month.
Patton said she does believe in perfect matches.
"I think there is probably a perfect match for different times in your life…I think you have to define perfect," she said. "Nothing in life is perfect like that. People argue. People have fights. But's how you get through it, get to the other side, compromise and then you're like, 'I think I met my perfect match. They've helped me grow...and I love them in spite of it all."
In The Perfect Match, Patton plays the therapist sister of a Hollywood ladies man (Terrence J) who may have finally found his—you got it—his perfect match, played by the gorgeous Cassie Ventura.
