Sacha Baron Cohen says Kanye West almost didn't make it to his movie night with the Kardashians...and an Uber driver appears to be to blame.
The 44-year-old comedy star, known for alter egos such as Ali G and Borat, has been promoting his new R-rated movie The Brothers Grimsby via videos of celebrities watching and reacting to crazy scenes. An Instagram clip posted last week showed Kim Kardashian, 35, Kanye, 38, and her family, plus Courteney Cox, 51, and daughter Coco Arquette, 11, all watching with Baron Cohen and wife Isla Fisher, 40.
"I'm friendly with Courteney Cox and basically, I decided about five years ago not to get involved with social media. I thought it was a passing fad. I was slightly wrong," the actor told E! News' Erin Lim exclusively. "So I said, 'Listen, I'd like to find out what an average American family would think of this movie.' So she brought around the Kardashians, which was good."
"Unfortunately, Kanye was brought around to the wrong address," he said. "His Uber dropped him off at the wrong address and he ended up sitting on the street for half an hour."
Kanye has not commented.
Over the past week, Baron Cohen also appeared in a similar video with Pharrell Williams, 42, who was so shocked by the Brothers Grimsby scene he watched that he had to step away, and in another clip with Zac Efron, 28, and Dwayne Johnson, 43.
Rebel Wilson, 36, plays his girlfriend in the film. Baron Cohen said he has kissed mostly men on film over the past 14 years and rated her kissing skills. Find out her score by watching the video below.
