Auctioneer website Christie's is holding a live and online auction featuring over 200 items from the comedienne's Manhattan penthouse, showcasing her "eclectic taste" in possessions that range from paintings to furniture to jewelry.
In fact, a few of the items up for sale include: a 1915 Edouard Vuillard painting, a jewelled nephrite study of a Lily of the Valley leaf by Fabergé and a silver Tiffany & Co. water bowl engraved 'for Spike' (the late actress' Yorkshire Terrier).
Items will range anywhere from $200 to $200,000, and a portion of the proceeds will benefit two of her favorite charities: God's Love We Deliver (which supports people living with AIDS and cancer) and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Melissa Rivers said in a statement that the auction delivers a "'through the keyhole'" experience for Joan's fans and "celebrates her elegance and collecting style."
She added, "My mother's legacy as a much loved comedienne and philanthropist will be commemorated in this collaboration with Christie's and her generosity to charitable causes is something I will continue in her honor."
The live auction will take place June 22 in New York and will coincide with an online auction that will be held June 16–23.
Joan passed away at the age of 81 after suffering from complications while undergoing throat operation in NYC.
