All this O.J. Simpson stuff is getting seriously meta.

On Friday, Los Angeles police confirmed that a knife found on O.J.'s former property is being tested to see if it has any connection to the 1994 murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman. The timing of this possible development is kind of crazy: It's been more than 20 years since O.J. was acquitted of the killings—and that trial currently being portrayed on the FX series American Crime Story: The People v. O. J. Simpson.

For Courtney B. Vance, the actor who portrays O.J.'s lawyer Johnnie Cochran in the series, this is all a bit surreal. Naturally, this fictional player in the O.J. trial took to Twitter with some commentary on the factual happenings with the legal matter IRL.

Keesha Sharp, the actress who plays Johnnie Cochran's wife Dale on the ACS miniseries, tweeted her two cents, too.

Even the official show page for The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story weighed in!

Reality really is stranger than fiction sometimes.

The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on FX.
