The 34-year-old singer will join Vin Diesel in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage along with Ariadna Gutiérrez, who was wrongly named Miss Universe by Steve Harvey. Samuel L. Jackson, Nina Dobrev, Ice Cube and Toni Collette will also star in the film.
Nicky made the announcement on his Instagram account. "This is a dream come true. Thank you God and thank you to all my people for bringing me here thank you @vindiesel for the opportunity," he titled the photo.
Paramount announced that the movie, which will be filmed in Canada and the Dominican Republic, is set to premiere on Jan. 20, 2017.
This year, Nicky released his music video for Hasta el Amanecer, which already has 155 million views on Vevo.
In 2015, his song "El Perdón" (Forgiveness) with Enrique Iglesias edged out Shakira's 2005 hit "La Tortura" to become the second-longest running No. 1 in the 29-year history of Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart.
