We already know that Matt Damon thinks Jason Bourne could "kick the s--t out of Batman." And now, Henry Cavill says he'd definitely want Superman rather than Ben Affleck the Cape Crusader to have his back in a fight.

And it's not just because Cavill plays Superman.

"He has all the powers," the Brit actor told me on the Oscars red carpet. "And Superman can't help but love everyone and wants to do the right thing [and]...you know you have the right guy advising you."

Take that, Batman!

Cavill also told me he has already seen Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice twice. His review? "Epic, thrilling and visually spectacular."

Cavill's appearance at the Oscars was his first time at the big show. He presented with Kerry Washington.

"I was a little nervous about what to expect when I came here, but it's so busy and there's so much going on that you don't feel really exposed as you do at some of the other events," Cavill said. "I'm really enjoying this. The energy is fantastic. It's real good fun."

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is in theaters on March 25.

Directed By Zack Snyder, Batman v Superman co-stars Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg taking on the role of Lex Luthor. Rounding out the cast are Amy Adams, Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Diane Lane, Michael Shannon and Jena Malone.
