Jennifer Lopez has a tip for Ben Affleck: Think before you ink.

The Shades of Blue star, 46, was asked about her former fiancé on Watch What Happens Live Monday, telling host Andy Cohen that she disapproves of Affleck's huge Phoenix back tattoo. "It's awful! What are you doing?" she said during the show's "Plead the Fifth" segment. "I mean, I would tell him that. I would tell him, 'What are you doing?' It has too many colors. His tattoos always have too many colors. They shouldn't be so colorful. You know what I mean?"

Lopez added, "They should be cooler."

Affleck, 43, has a dolphin inked on his right hip, which covers up the name of his high school sweetheart. He also has a barbed wire on his right bicep, initials written on his right shoulder blade, and an ornate design that includes a fish, plus a skull and crossbones, on his right arm. In the Vanity Fair's March 2016 issue, Jennifer Garner also made fun her ex's back tattoo. "You know what we would say in my hometown about that? 'Bless his heart," the Miracles From Heaven actress, 43, teased. "A phoenix rising from the ashes. Am I the ashes in this scenario?"

"I take umbrage," Garner added. "I refuse to be the ashes."

Affleck has yet to explain the significance of the tattoo.

The good news is neither Lopez nor Garner will ever have to look at it again.

Monday wasn't the first time Lopez has talked about Affleck on Watch What Happens Live. During a visit to the Bravo Clubhouse in June 2014, she took credit for giving him a makeover in the Bennifer era, saying, "I did kind of like, say, 'You're a movie star! You should wear a suit! You should do this with your hair!' For sure. I mean, I do that. By the way, guys do that to girls, too: 'I like that dress better than the other dress.'" She said Affleck "was into it. He didn't do anything he didn't want to do...He had some good fashion moments when he was with me!"
