Chris Pizzello/Invision/APThe 2016 Oscars just got a hell of a lot sweeter! As if Chris Rock wasn't already killing it, he went and sold Girl Scout cookies to the star-filled audience. The gesture was made to help out his Girl Scout daughters sell the most cookies this year. The proud dad flashed a photo of his "princesses" in their Girl Scout uniforms on the big screen. "I want you to reach into your millionaire pockets, and I want to you buy some of my daughters Girl Scout cookies," he told the crowd. "Leo! You made 30 million, come on," Chris joked as the stars forked over cash to the cookie-bearing Girl Scouts walking amongst the audience. Best idea ever, dad! There's no way they won't sell the most cookies now. Why can't we be in the audience tonight!?
Later on in the evening, Chris revealed the total money made after the Girl Scouts had finished selling their cookies to the stars. The Scouts supposedly raked in a grand total of $65,243, smashing last year's $600 total to crumbs. Well done, ladies!
However, according to TMZ, the actual amount they raised was $2,500. It turns out the $65,000 reveal was just a joke. Say it ain't so! Regardless, that's still better than $600!
