Have you ever wondered just how accurate those "based on a true story" films are? You might be surprised to know that some of them are a little more BS than set in reality. Now you can get your facts straight thanks to the website Information is Beautiful, according to Gizmodo. The site dissects a number of movies from The Wolf of Wall Street to The Social Network and explains scene-by-scene just how truthful they are. Pretty nifty if you ask us. Scenes are labeled "True," "True-ish," "False-ish" and "False." Each scene compares a description of what happened in the film to what happened in real life. What's the most accurate movie of the bunch? The Big Short takes the cake! In case you were wondering, The Imitation Game is the biggest fibber on the list. Whatevs. They have to make that shiz entertaining somehow!
