Lights, camera, action—Hollywood's biggest night of the year is finally here!

The 88th Annual Academy Awards are well underway and the evening's host, Chris Rock, hasn't even stepped onstage yet.

Today's festivities are being held at the Dolby Theatre, just like previous years, and several actors have already been named winners before the telecast even aired.

Spike Lee, Gena Rowlands and Debbie Reynolds were all paid tribute and given their Oscar statues at the 7th Annual Governors Awards on Nov. 17, 2015.

"The Board is proud to recognize our honorees' remarkable contributions at this year's Governors Awards."

Isaacs added that the Academy was "celebrating their achievements with the knowledge that the work they have accomplished—with passion, dedication and a desire to make a positive difference—will also enrich future generations." And that they will!
