Watch: Derek Hough Becoming Judge for "DWTS" Season 22?

Will there still be a Hough at the judges' table after all?!

Julianne Hough announced she would not be returning as a judge for Dancing With the Stars' upcoming season on Feb. 17, with head judge Len Goodman set to return after taking a break during season 21. But is ABC hoping Julianne's brother and fan-favorite professional dancer Derek Hough makes the same transition from competitor to judge? In a word....or three? "No, no no!"

"That wouldn't make any sense for me to be a judge," Derek told E! News' Sibley Scoles at Vanity Fair and Fiat's Young Hollywood party on Tuesday night. "It's too soon, you know what I mean?!"

Derek and his celeb partner Bindi Irwin took home the mirrorball trophy last season, so we guess we get what he means by it being too soon.

But what did Derek have to say about some of the casting rumors for season 22, including Scott Disick and Fuller House's Jodie Sweetin? Press play on our interview with the Emmy winner above to find out.

Julianne, who recently earned rave reviews for her turn as Sandy on Fox's hit Grease: Live, announced she would be taking a break after serving two seasons as judge, but assured fans her leave would not be permanent.

"I promise it's not the last you'll see of me in the ballroom," she said. "I will miss being on the panel for season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing."

DWTS premieres on Monday, March 21 on ABC, with the cast officially being announced on Tuesday, March 8 on Good Morning America.
