Fitz and Lillian, sitting in a tree—well, actually, they're sitting in a limo—in this exclusive sneak peek at Thursday's Scandal.

Things are heating up between the President (Tony Goldwyn) and his new love interest, a.k.a. Lillian (Annabeth Gish), the reporter who decided not to profile the most powerful man in the free world so she could date him instead. You can see their mutual attraction in E! News' clip from the episode, which sees Fitz and his new lady making out in a limo like a couplea teenagers when Abby (Darby Stanchfield) comes in and totally interrupts their makeout sesh.

Naturally, Fitz is not very pleased about the whole situation. "Are we at war? Did California go into the ocean," he asks his right-hand woman, who is then left to explain that they need to have a talk. A serious one. About the antics occurring in the limo.

Fitz is "wild carding," and Abby needs to talk about it with him so they can formulate a plan. Press play on the clip above to find out what, exactly, that means!

The episode, appropriately titled "Wild Card," will see Fitz—ahem—preoccupied with his own interests as the people around him, including master manipulators Cyrus (Jeff Perry) and Elizabeth North (Portia De Rossi), are scheming and planning things of their own. Elsewhere, Olivia (Kerry Washington) will try to figure out what Jake (Scott Foley) is trying to achieve in his new role as head of the NSA.

Scandal airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. on ABC.
