Yes, you read that right, Professor Aguilera has arrived!
You don't have to know much about music to know that Christina Aguilera's long list of credentials make her an undisputed expert in the music world. The six-time Grammy winner is now making it possible for just about anyone to learn her techniques.
That is, if they're willing to shell out 90 bucks (talent not included).
Xtina announced today via Twitter that she has joined MasterClass, an online education platform that has signed on coaches and singers such as Kevin Spacey, Usher, and Serena Williams, and given them the opportunity to divulge their secrets for success to any of us common folk who hope to make it as a singer, actor, or even tennis player.
"It's official! Call me Professor Aguilera," the platinum-selling star and coach on The Voice tweeted.
In a short trailer for the class, Christina promises potential students that "any student can learn from this course how to better trust yourself" through 20 lessons and more than 3.5 hours of voice lessons.
Aguilera also provides some much-needed inspiration, reminding students, "Technique is only a quarter of it…passion and drive, is like, 100%" (We like the math, Xtina.)
The website explains that Aguilera will be teaching how to "expand your range, find your voice, and master the techniques that have earned her 6 Grammy awards," through exercises such as breath control and vibrato. If you're interested, you can even try out one of the vocal exercises from the class on the MasterClass website.
We did. And yep, we need all the help we can get.
