Que the music: you've got a friend in me....

That was precisely the message Ruby Rose wanted to send to her dear pal, Ellen Page, to commemorate her 29th birthday Sunday. The Netflix star took to her Facebook page to share a lengthy tribute to the Golden Globe-nominated actress, whom she says was a sincere guiding force early on in her Hollywood career. The winding world of Hollywood can be quite the feat to manage without a few friends to guide you along and Rose learned this firsthand.

"I live my dream now. Everyday," the Orange Is the New Black actress began. "Thank god amongst all the other gifts I received I received you to help me navigate through it all."

The actress continued to praise her friend, who she credits as her "rock."

"I never knew how crucial it would be to have loyal and real friends around me in Hollywood until push came to shove and there you were everytime, the most honest, the most fearless and the most loyal person I know," Rose continued. "When it comes to friendship no one does it better than you. I'm forever grateful and always proud of everything you do."

Happy birthday Ellen Page my beautiful little Pisces soul. I have so much to credit moving to the United States as I...

This praise seems like the perfect bow to tie up Page's successful year. In addition to starring in two new films, she took her new relationship with artist Samantha Thomas public with their first official appearance on the red carpet in the fall.

"I'm in love," she told E!'s Marc Malkin at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Five months later, the pair was still going strong.

"She's awesome and we have so much fun together," she told Malkin again at January's Sundance Film Festival. "We love each other and support each other. It's the best."
