One Direction's Louis Tomlinson just made fans' hearts burst with his latest Instagram photo, which features the singer shirtless while cradling his newborn son Freddie in his arms. The black and white snapshot shows the new dad (and all of his tattoos) front and center while playfully bonding with his son, who is wrapped in a blanket and gazing into his papa's eyes.
Seriously, so precious. The picture is cleverly captioned, "Lad and Dad."
The 1D singer became the first member of the pop group to become a dad when Briana Jungwirth, a Los Angeles stylist who was romantically involved with him in 2015, gave birth to their baby boy in January. "I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday :)," Tomlinson said on Twitter at the time of Freddie's birth. "He is healthy and pretty amazing :) I'm very happy!!"
He also shared a photo of his son and revealed his name in an Instagram post shortly thereafter. "Meet my little lad, Freddie," Tomlinson captioned a black and white photo of himself cradling his little boy. And then went to Twitter to tell fans, "Thank you so much for the all nice messages :)"
Meanwhile, former bandmate Zayn Malik, who has openly discussed that he and the singer are not on the best of terms right now, told London radio show Capital Breakfast that he first saw Tomlinson's baby on social media, similar to the rest of the world. "Obviously I wish [Tomlinson] the best of luck," Malik said. "His kid is cute as f--k so obviously I favorited it."
He continued, "We're not talking on friend terms obviously, so that's as far as I can go, by favoriting his picture."
Perhaps Malik will find himself double-tapping on another "cute as f--k" picture today?
